1) What type of canine do you have?
Perro de Presa Canario,

2) How did you learn about the breed?
I first heard about them when I had my last American Bulldog, back in 2001. But got my first Presa in 2004

3) What traits about the breed attracted you to become an owner?
The breed is a true working dog. I like the fact they are leery of Strangers, great guard dog, nice working dog and very willing to please their owner.

4) Who did you get your pup from?
He was bred by Warsney’s K9

5) Statistics – Age, weight, measurements, etc?
4 years old, weight 118 lbs, 25.5 inches tall

6) What do you feed your canine?
A raw diet comprising mainly chicken carcass/quarters, beef bone, beef liver, beef heart, goat, & rabbit/deer (when I can get it).

7) Have you enlisted specialized training for your canine?
Yes, We have done OB from a pup to today. Agility to compete in it, Weight Pulling, Therapy, Search n Rescue

8) Can you describe your canines’ temperament?
Stable & dominate but willing to please me when asked upon.

9) What titles/accolades have you & your canine achieved?
Weight Pulling: (UKC) UWPV (1st Presa to achieve this title), UWPCH, UWP – (APA) WP2, WP3 – (IWPA) WD3, Silver Medalist
Obedience Rally: (UKC) URO1 (1st Presa to achieve this title) – (AKC) CGC
Conformation: (UKC) GRCH CH – American Monographica (Confirmed Excellent by FCI Judge Paloma Iglesias & Mr J Ortiz

10) What would you like to see for the breed?
To preserve the breed, by health, temperament, and working ability. To work the dog in many different venues to prove the stability and ability to be a wonderful working dog.

11) What would you tell a new prospective owner about the breed and selecting a pup?
To truly study the breed, find your likes and dislikes about the breed, do your likes and dislikes about your own lifestyle to ensure the breed would fit your home, family and lifestyle.
Make sure you understand what you are getting into as this is not a breed like a Labrador. You need to understand that you must do Obedience with the dog and ensure you can be a great owner for this type of breed.
